The National Territory of the Principality of West Antarctic

Principality_of_West-Antarcticland_mapThe Principality of West Antarctic is one of the two principality of Antarcticland. The territory includes all the lands and islands in section extending from the South Pole to 60° S latitude between longitudes 120° W and 135° W, with a total area of 540.145 km2, slightly more than the size of Italy, Switzerland, Principality of Monaco, Austria, Slovenia and Hungary all together.

There is no indigenous nor permanently resident population, but the knights patrol the area during the austral summer.

Any person may become citizen simply by applying and swearing allegiance to the Constitution of Antarcticland and can decide the Principality of dependence.

Principality_of_West_Antarctic__baseThe Principality of West Antarctica is in negotiations with several groups of investors to develop the first international base of research for the protection of the Antarctic .

Donation for the research are collected trough the Principality of West Antarctic Found

The Principality of West Antarctic is administrated by His Highness the Prince Giovanni Caporaso Gottlieb, former Regent of Antarcticland and Grandmaster of the Sovereign Order of the Antarcticland.

Revenue from administrative fees and the sale of services to the citizens are the only income of the Principality.


Antarcticland_mapThe State of Antarcticland, formed by the Principality of Antarcticland and the Principality of West Antarctic, is the oldest territorial domain of the Antarctic continent. It includes all the lands and islands in section extending from the South Pole to 60° S latitude between longitudes 90° W and 135° W, with a total area of 1.554.424, slightly less than the size of Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland all together.

Antarcticland it is administered by the Government of Antarcticland and the head of State is the Regent and Grandmaster of the Sovereign Order of the Antarcticland, H.H. Rolando Righetti, assisted by the members of the Supreme Council of the Regency .
